The Bucknell OCF venerates in particular five scholar-ascetic-wonderworker saints as holy guides for our community:

Saint Nectarios--Saint Nektarios, revered modern Greek monastic, teacher and healer.
St. Nectarios (1846-1920), Metropolitan of Pentapolis and Wonderworker of Aegina, was officially recognized as a saint by the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople in 1961. His feast day is celebrated on November 9. He is often referred to as Nectarios of Pentapolis or Nectarios of Aegina...

--Saint Catherine the Great, known for her scholarlship and teaching abilities, martyred in fourth-century Alexandria.

--The Three Hierarchs:
St. Basil the Great, St. Gregory the Theologian, and St. John Chrysostom.

Fourth-century teachers and writers, two from mountainous Cappadocia in what is now Turkey, and one (St. John) from Antioch; important spiritual guides and scholars in the early Christian church on issues ranging from the natural world and philanthropy to the Trinity.
