Relationship with other clubs at Bucknell University
Vietnamese Students Association (VSA) at Bucknell University was founded on October of 1996. VSA is a non-political organization for the purpose of: promoting and preserving the culture and language of Vietnam ; uniting those people who share or have an interest in the Vietnamese culture; and providing cultural activities such as dinners, picnics, etc for those who would like to become more aware of the Vietnamese culture.
Over two years from 1996 to 1998, VSA has grown in a number of ways, in membership, activities, recognition, and in our budget as well. The activeness of VSA in recent year indicates that VSA is serious about improving the club, and setting the path for the members to build upon and expand. In the year of 1997-1998, we participated in International Food Festival, co-hosted a trip to see Miss Sagion on Broadway, participated in the Asian Awareness Week, and orchestrated the first annual Culture Show. Through the hard work and determination of the members, we were able to carry out these activities successfully and effectively. The activities that we put out reflect the objectives of the club, and this is what we want to continue doing in the future.
