Mirth Grinder is currently accepting submissions for the Spring 2005 issue. Space is limited, so please submit as soon as possible. Submission guidelines are as follows.


- Writing Submissions

Mirth Grinder considers all forms and genres of writing, including but not limited to poetry, prose, nonfiction, and short or excerpted dramatic scripts. Please feel free to submit as many pieces of writing as you wish.

Please include the following information with your submission(s):

  1. Title of the work(s)
  2. Your name, as the author

Either send your submission(s) as an attachment (.doc, .pdf, or .txt) or in the body of an email to mirthgrinder at bucknell dot edu. Alternately, you can campus mail a hard copy of your work to Mirth Grinder, box c3913.


- Art Submissions

Mirth Grinder seeks to feature a variety of media including but not limited to drawings, paintings, photography, sculpture, prints, graphic design, and mixed media. Please feel free to submit a portfolio, sketchbook, or select works from your collection.

Please include the following information with your submission(s):

  1. Title of the work(s)
  2. Your name, as the artist
  3. Medium (e.g. "Silver Gelatin Print")
  4. Dimensions

Electronic submissions, including scanned or digital works: please send your work as an attachment (preferably .tif) to mirthgrinder at bucknell dot edu. Please also make sure your file is an appropriate resolution for printing— 300 DPI or higher is recommended.

Hard-copy submissions: campus mail your work to Mirth Grinder, campus box c3913. A thick or padded envelope will assure safe handling through the mailroom.

Alternately, if you would like a Mirth Grinder representative to digitally photograph your work, this can be arranged. Email mirthgrinder at bucknell dot edu to set up an appointment.

Should the Mirth Grinder editorial staff select your work to be featured in the magazine, you will be notified of the acceptance via email.
