  • In supprt of RIF, our chapter recently held a Reading is Key Event at the Donald Heiter Community Center where sisters read books to young children.
Reading is Fundamental

We raise money each year through two special events:

Kappa Kisses – Each year around Valentine’s Day, we sell small bundles of Hershey’s Kisses with little tags for people to write special messages, and deliver them to the sender’s chosen recipients. This year our chapter raised over $1000 and used the money to help the local Red Cross implement its new Senior Citizens Safe at Home Project.

Kappa Klassic – Each Spring we organize and host a 7 vs. 7 soccer tournament. Teams of 7-10 people register and participate. This tournament has become very popular on our campus. This past year we raised $1,700 to benefit RIF. Last year we had 29 teams go for the gold, and we hope to increase involvement even more this year! The Klassic will take place on April 17th. Hope to see you on the field or cheering on the sidelines!
