Reading is Fundamental

We raise money each year through two special events:

Kappa Kisses – Each year around Valentine’s Day, we sell small bundles of Hershey’s Kisses with little tags for people to write special messages, and deliver them to the sender’s chosen recipients. This year our chapter raised over $600 and donated it to the Breast Cancer 3 day walk in Washington, DC. This event is held to raise money for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation which funds breast cancer research. We were happy to donate to this event which was coordinated by one of our own sisters from the class of 1996.

Kappa Klassic – Each Spring we organize and host a 7 vs. 7 soccer tournament. Teams of 7-10 people register and participate. This tournament has become very popular on our campus. This past year we raised $1,700 to benefit RIF. We had 29 teams enter the tournament, which is four more than last year!
