Philanthropy

Kappa Kappa Gamma's national philanthropy is Reading is Fundamental (RIF).

  • In supprt of RIF, our chapter recently held a Reading is Key Event at the Donald Heiter Community Center where sisters read books to young children.

We raise money each year through two special events:

Kappa Kisses – Each year around Valentine’s Day, we sell small bundles of Hershey’s Kisses with little tags for people to write special messages, and deliver them to the sender’s chosen recipients. Last year our chapter raised over $1000, we are hoping to reach at least that this Valentine's Day and donated all of the proceeds to The Lustgarten Foundation.

Kappa Klassic – Each Spring we organize and host a 7 vs. 7 soccer tournament. Teams of 7-10 people register and participate. This tournament has become very popular on our campus. Kappa Klassic is currently scheduled to be held on April 17th, 2011! We hope to see you all there!

PowderPuff Football -- This past fall the sisters of Kappa Kappa Gamma suited up and participated in a PowderPuff Football Tournament with other Greek Fraternities and Sororities on campus. All of the money raised was donated to a local organization.
