Recent News: -New Game Photos added- Feature Article in Bucknellian:  By: Richard Thornburgh, Alex Pron When a Bucknellian is asked about their school’s hockey team, the most common answer provided is, “What hockey team?” Well, as standing members of that fruitful team, we can assure the student body that not only do we have a hockey team, but we have a club hockey team. The Bucknell Bison Club Hockey team, so far this year, has erected an undefeated record to date, while allowing less than 40 goals in 13 games. Our outstanding record of 13-0-0 has by far surpassed any other start of a Bucknell Hockey team in school history. The Bison play in the SVMHL, (Susquehanna Valley Men’s Hockey League), where the competition ranges from Susquehanna University to the members of the Phoenix Rehabilitation Men’s Team. A senior class, which is led by Captain Jake Dupont, has provided the leadership necessary to compete in a division I men’s ice hockey league. Dupont, 22, has been quoted in the locker room as stating to freshman, “I am everything you want to be as a senior”. Is he everything that freshman players need to look up to? The answer to that is absolutely. Over his college career, Dupont has accumulated over 20 points in 55 games, five of those coming this season. Our junior class is led by Drew Wroblewski, who is currently abroad in the wonderful country of France, and henceforth has refused to comment. In the sophomore class, there are many rising stars that have opened up the floodgates in the SVMHL. Players with tenacity, miscreancy and willingness to do whatever it takes to ensure victory. Players such as world phenom Alex Pron, who once tried our for the Flin Flon, Manitoba Moosemen, but turned it down to pursue his academic career and decree his loyalty to the SVMHL. Rounding out the Sophomore Class are Micah Schuette and Dan ‘The Man!’ Shiwarski, who contribute more than enough each practice and game to bring the Bison to success. Micah, 20, has been sought out by teams such as the Montreal Canadians, the Colorado Avalanche, and the Mifflinburg Men’s team, who wanted him as a ringer after scouting us at our practice. Shiwarski, who has been deemed by players such as Darius Kasparaitis as, “One of the most fearful and gruesome players to ever throw on a sweater.” Whatever you do, do not get in the way of Dan, ‘The Man!’ Shiwarski, if at all possible. Meanwhile, the Freshman class is composed of Alex Rascoe, Ian Hasson, Ashten Petry, Richard Thornburgh, Keaton Wright, Austin Carr-Jones and C.J. Eular on the positions of offense and defense. Jeff Greco and Josh Steinburg man the pipes for this glorious team. This freshman class has two players who have been a part of a national championship team, while the others have amounted to absolutely nothing. Nevertheless, the freshman class has by far the most talent of any previous freshman class ever. As the Bucknell Bison Club Hockey Team forges on for success of a SVMHL championship, they seek the help and support of the Bucknell community to attend as many games as possible at the Sunbury Ice Complex in Sunbury, PA. Coming soon ---- Game Pictures Sunday, November 12, 2006 - Bucknell Ice Hockey started off their 2006 season with a three game weekend managing to win all three achieving a fantastic start of 3-0 for the year. Their most impressive victory was over Millersville University with the score of 5-4. - The team also won two mens league games 14-1 and 11-1 capping off the weekend. Bucknell Ice Hockey
