On Nov. 5, 2002, Eva Moses Kor was the speaker for Bucknell's Kristallnacht observance. Kor is a survivor of Auschwitz, where she and her sister were subjects of Dr. Mengele's experments on twins. Eva Kor spoke to us about forgiveness.
In 1995 Kor founded a small Holocaust museum, C.A.N.D.L.E.S., in Terre Haute, IN. On November 18, 2003, the museum was severely damaged and most of the contents were destroyed. In April 2003, film producer Aviva Kempner spoke at Bucknell Hillel's Yom HaShoah observance prior to a screening of her film, "The Partisans of Vilna." Ms. Kempner talked about the process of making the film and some of the people who were its subject.
