DISCRETIONARY PERIOD

(May 1st – beginning of Formal Recruitment)

• Sorority members can’t visit PNM in place of residence, nor can PNMs be on suite or in sorority member’s place of residence

• No discussion of recruitment or sorority life with PNMs.  All questions should be directed to a member of the recruitment staff.
• No discussion of boys, alcohol, financial status, brand names, politics or religion with PNMs.
• Discussion in class, athletics, activities only as necessary and unavoidable (family members exempt).
• Meals with PNMs are forbidden. If a team meal is held, the coach must be present, no alcohol may be served, and the Panhellenic Recruitment Committee must be notified.

STRICT SILENCE PERIOD

(Beginning of Formal Recruitment – Bid Day)

• Sorority members can’t visit PNM in place of residence, nor can PNMs be on suite or in sorority member’s place of residence (except Formal Recruitment rounds)

• No verbal, written, printed, or typed communication with PNMs outside of Formal Recruitment rounds by sorority members, new members and/or alumnae.
• Includes saying hello in passing, texts, calls, e-mail, Facebook, AIM, etc.
• Meals also forbidden
