  1. Special Guests
    1. Ali Jones – Common Ground
    2. Robert Pickering – Card Access System
      1. Was done quickly over the summer, realize there are issues, and are willing to work with individual chapters as well as IFC on the whole with improvement ideas.
      2. Proposition- Go to each house and do a tour, giving feedback to Card Service on the problems that you are having.
      3. Can get doors opened for select periods of time through Card Services, or call Public Safety on a shorter notice basis – must have a designated contact person within each Fraternity.  It is recommended that you use your PA as this contact.
      4. If you want the doors opened for parties, and which ones, you must specify those on the SERF form.  Doors can also be scheduled to be opened for set-up and clean-up for parties.
      5. If there is a door that you want to be added, you need to send an email to Rob Pickering, Dean Marrara, Dean Remley, and Chief Friedberg.  The next step in the process is then doing an evaluation of the house, and then it has to go through the Finance Department.  Set-up a meeting.

        1. Working with the Alumni House on this event, details will be brought to a vote in a future meeting.

    2. GAMMA- Penton Mott

        1. September 23rd, 7pm Weis Center
        2. Covers Hazing Requirement, it is the only one that counts for that credit this semester.

      2. Downtown Cleanup Schedule
        1. You should have the schedule already, email Scott with any questions.
        2. Send pictures to Scott after work is completed.
      3. Counting of Philanthropy Dollars
        1. Clarification of the way we count dollars, we will continue to evaluate this in conjunction with Panhel.
      4. Chi O Family Weekend Make-A-Wish Auction
        1. Help make gift baskets, contact Laura Chernak.
    5. Special Events- Jack Swain

      1. Website Update – will contact I-Tech regarding trying to get more information about the site.  If there are any new ideas as far as contacts please contact Rob.
    7. Recruitment- Karan Shah
      1. Recruitment Thank-You – 235 New Fraternity Members
      2. Recruitment Feedback – Please send in form to Karan, individual chapter feedback is very important.
    8. Treasurer- Jeff Pike
      1. Financial Update- Get back to Jeff with good event ideas. 
    9. VP-External – Election
      1. Nomination Period is from tonight until the next IFC meeting.
      2. Election will occur at IFC meeting 9/16/08.

        2. Chapters on Social Probation will be checked during rounds to make sure events are not being held.
    11. President- Joe Valickus
      1. Bucknell Rumor Mill
        1. Keep in mind this campus is small and word gets around when things are occurring that shouldn’t be.
      2. Presidents’ Lunches
        1. Last lunch was more beneficial then others previous, so that method will be continued in the future.
        2. There will be discussion topics, please submit ideas for them beforehand to the IFC Secretary.
      3. Welcome Night
        1. Issues
          1. Beer Spraying and Pouring – Women were not impressed by IFC’s initiative to put a stop to it, they felt it was no better then in years previous.
          2. It was noted by Public Safety and DM which chapters participated.
          3. Thank you to those chapters which did not participate.

      5. Greeks within the Master Plan
        1. Must be involved in the process – no change until after the Board of Trustees Meeting
        2. More information forthcoming.

    1. Had a great recruitment, highest retention rate in recent years. Congrats Panhel!
    2. MPP Fundraising Ideas – Contact Jaclyn Spechler (jrs073@bucknell.edu) with ideas.
  4. Advisor Report- Dean Marrara
    1. Great job at the AGC this part Saturday, highest turnout in recent years.
    2. Meal Plans – Ms. Wilson will be coming next meeting to answer questions, Dining Services will NOT be in attendance.
    3. Accountability of Chapters to themselves
    4. Hazing Study – please read
      1. Pledges and Brothers need to sign the form
    5. New Member Education – get your programs into DM, some are still outstanding.
    6. Central Billing Cards – Only for Dues, not for Meal Plans.

    1. Motion: Ritter Delta Upsilon -- Main contact on all issues concerning the fraternity house doors between Rob Pickering, Dean Marrara, and the fraternities will be Chapter Presidents and PA’s.

    2. Notation: Parseghian Kappa Sigma -- Message Digest – concern over having information falls through the cracks.
