IFC meeting called to order by David Quinn at 8pm. All chapters present. 1. Alumni Liaison - Bill Massaro: October 21, 2007 will be the Greek Alumni Luncheon meeting. Trying to organize a poll to find out prospective careers of sophomores and juniors to help networking abilities with alumni. Polls should be out by next weekend. Feedback expected. 2. GAMMA - Adam Hinshaw: April 5, 2007, National Alcohol Screening day. A link to online tests to diagnose drinking habits will be sent out soon to the presidents. Bob Thomas is available to run screening for free. Aaron White, a professor with cutting edge research at Duke, is a good candidate for a fall speaker (projected costs soon to come). Possibility of Risk Manager workshop suggested. 3. GAME - Arjun Raman: Pot-luck BBQ in Smith Quad. Dates soon to come. 4. Community Service/Philanthropy - Chris Palmer: Thanks for wing donations. 5. Special Events - Jay Sliger: Comments on problems and concerns about House Party weekend. 6. Secretary - Tommy Murray: Accepted Students Day on Saturday, April 14. We hope to inform prospective students and their families of the Greek System's involvement on campus, and answer any questions that they might have. 7. Recruitment - Bill Groen: Final Four feedback and recruiting guide soon to come. 8. Treasurer - Mike Simione: Going to check account and give amount next week. 9. VP-External - Steve Horsefield: “Take Back the Night” tomorrow, Wednesday, April 4, at 7pm starting from the LC. Participation counts towards community service hours for P4P. 10. VP-Internal - Nick Panaro: None.
11. President - David Quinn: Daily item article about downtown house possibly affiliated with a fraternity. Consider writing a letter about excessive police enforcement. Powerpoint and a presentation about Greek Life on accepted students day April 14th. Presidents’ post houseparty dinner Thursday at 6:30 at Bull Run. Phi Kappa Psi is next week’s host. 12. Greek Advisor - Dean Marrara: Central billing cards are due Monday, April 9. Thanks for cleaning up, recycling, etc. over house party to the chapters who did it. Those who didn’t are producing bad PR with administration. Do a better job with the litter, trash, DUI, underage drinking, etc. 13. Guest - Nick Mozal BUCC: Bringing John Ashcroft to campus, who will be speaking about the future of Homeland Security. Counts as an Academic for P4P. Wondering if IFC would donate $500 dollars. 14. Guest - SERV: Mock Motor Vehicle Accident Sunday, April 15 at 1pm in the upper smith parking lot. P4P programming, counts as an alcohol awareness credit. 15. Public Safety - Officer Snyder: Good job at house party, way to step it up. Four hospitalizations though. 16. Voting: Vote passes to give BUCC $500 17. Announcements:
