IFC meeting called to order by Joe Valickus at 8pm. All Chapters are present. 1. Special Guest- Jenny Hirsch – ACE Traditions Committee / Chrysalis: Tickets are 15 for students, 25 for guests. Try and encourage your chapters to attend. 2. Special Guest- Derek Johnson – Phi Psi Battle of the Bands: Next Friday and all the money raised will be going to Relay for Life. There are 5 bands so encourage your chapters to come out. Reports 3. Alumni Liaison - Greg Wagner: Alumni Events- working to put together a faculty relations event to put the Greek system in a positive life. 4. GAMMA - Penton Mott: Risk Management Meetings- Bi-weekly meetings are starting tomorrow. Opportunity for risk managers to come and assess problems. Working on finalizing Alcohol Awareness Speaker. 5. GAME - Chen Mao: Diversity Celebration-Display Kiosk Pictures / Materials- expect an e-mail from Chen after House Party asking for a diverse object from members of chapters. Also, Diversity Celebration Tickets are on sale, so make sure to get your tickets in the campus box office in the LC. 6. Community Service/Philanthropy - Scott Shapiro: Jungle Café this week- SAE had a great start with the Jungle Café. The following week is Kappa Kappa Gamma. MPP Recipient- Hand Up Foundation will be our Million Penny Project Recipient after a 5-1 vote from Panhel. Downtown Cleanup Papers / Dates- get your papers in if you did a downtown cleanup. 7. Special Events - Jack Swain: Houseparty 2008!- Best Cleanup and Risk Management will receive 500 dollars from IFC. Let Jack know about the cars that will be coming in for House Party bands. 8. Secretary - Chris Petersen: Admitted Students Day Fair Updates- April 12th will be the Activities Fair and we will be having an IFC table representing Greek Life. Be aware that we will need volunteers for that day. 9. Recruitment - No new report. 10. Treasurer - Jeff Pike: Financial Update- Helped to fund DU and Theta and to pay for the Rick Barnes speaker. We will be trying not to spend too much more money on house party. 11. VP-External - Abe Brodach: WingFest- Let Abe or Dave know if you are willing to donate any wings to the WingFest. The deadline to buy Wingfest tickets in bulk is coming up so make sure you get the registration in. All Campus Olympics- Fill out the yellow forms and hand it in to the Dean of Students office by Friday at 4 o’clock. 12. VP-Internal - Tom Leaman: GMT- GMT was covered earlier this afternoon. Internal Changes after House Party- finding new ways to celebrate being Greek without interfering with the administration. 13. President - Joe Valickus: Upcoming Officer Evaluation- we are holding everyone accountable to make sure all Panhel and IFC members are doing their jobs. Post Event Review- How various events went, what we could have done, and what we should have done in order to help next year’s decisions will begin to be put in place following House Party. The next President’s Lunch: Friday, April 4th at 12 pm in LC 214 C&D. 14. Panhellenic- Mary O’Sullivan: Next Meeting: April 1st, 5:30 pm. Also, Erin Wolfe is taking any feedback about Meet the Greeks at erin.wolfe@bucknell.edu 15. Public Safety- Officer Snyder: Chapters and IFC have come a long way, and everyone is doing a great job. Keep this in perspective during House Party and make sure you are all responsible during it. 16. Greek Advisor - Dean Marrara: Wristbands must be given out to the President, so if you cannot make it, you must e-mail him a designated individual to receive them. September 23rd will be a PfP event so make note of it. Roster updates are due April 4th as well as the Safety Reports. Central Billing Cards can be submitted up until the last day of classes. PfP paperwork needs to be taken care of. Do not hesitate to contact Public Safety during House Party to avoid confrontations. Finally, do not let anybody in without a wristband. 17. Special Events and Programming- Dave Goodwin: Try and let Abe or Dave know by the end of the week if you want to donate wings. BU Olympics is being opened up to show the rest of the campus how great the Greek system is and to use it as a recruitment opportunity. Make sure you come out to show support. 18.
