IFC meeting called to order by Joe Valickus at 8pm. Chapters absent: Kappa Sigma (Held at Theta Chi) 1. Special Guest-Drew Willey: Invite members of your chapters to sign up for the YMCA basketball league. It counts for Community Service hours. 2. Special Guest- Peter Lansinger: Possibly partial funding for a Drunk Driving speaker to come as a guest speaker. 3. Alumni Liaison - Greg Wagner: Wants to put together Greek "Fast Facts." Also discussed an upcoming Alumni Chair Meeting. 4. GAMMA - Penton Mott: A houseparty Non-alc Alternative is being considered in conjunction with Theta Chi. Possible 2008 speakers are Dr. Aaron White or the Gordie Foundation. 5. GAME - Chen Mao: Nutritionist idea to be discussed in the future. 6. Community Service/Philanthropy - Scott Shapiro: Possible dinner with Poppy Goforth. Still needs to know the MPP Participants. Also considering a Community Service feedback. 7. Special Events - Jack Swain: The food prices for House Party are ungodly through Dining Services; possibility of fraternity chef’s preparing food. IFC will compensate the chef’s. 8. Secretary - Chris Petersen (absent): Members of IFC now have a picture in the directory. President's can decide if they want theirs on the website. E-mail me a photo or I will use the one from the Bucknell Website. 9. Recruitment - Arjun Raman: Meet the Greeks pictures in order to get more visuals of the Greek community out to the first-year students. 10. Treasurer - Jeff Pike: Get in your IFC dues. Also get in your MPP contributions. 11. VP-External - Abe Brodach: All Campus Olympics- the week after House party. Doing it outdoors on Graham fields in order to save money in cooperation with the sports teams. Target the community as a whole. Still selling house party wristbands the Thursday before House Party. 12. VP-Internal - Tom Leaman: Great job with GMT this weekend. It was very easy for us to get into the parties, and everything went smoothly. Keep it up in the future. Friday: Saturday: 13. President - Joe Valickus: Thank you for revisions of the IFC Constitution. Encourage all of you to attend Greek Hockey Night. Met about Public Safety issues. According to Public Safety, things have not changed, however disagreements are still present. Continuing to work with Public Safety to formalize protocol. Joe will be checking the parties on a bi-weekly basis to see how Public Safety acts during party checks. Don’t be stupid about what you do at your house. Next Tuesdays are Greek Awards. Next meeting Monday at Sig Ep. 14. Panhellenic- Mary O’Sullivan: Kappa Kisses are on sale this week. Can be sent anonymously. Go and support Kappa. 15. Public Safety- Officer Snyder: Thank everyone for the productive meeting. Anyone with problems, specific issues, or questions, please forward them. Polar Bear Plunge was a great time. Doughnut Drive Plans- want to offer a pre-order with a form about what the options are and how to distribute them. The beneficiary is Susquehanna Valley Women in Transition. 16. Greek Advisor - Dean Marrara: Introduce new employee, David Goodwin, who will be working with us. Will be sitting in on meetings for the next couple weeks. Superbowl went well so good job to everyone. Treat the freshman well; they are the future of the Greek system. Get your academic achievement sheet in next time. PA applications are due February 15th. Greek Awards are next Tuesday. The committee will be meeting tomorrow. The awards are at 8 O’clock in Vaughan Lit. Animals in the fraternity houses are not allowed whether you are university owned or not. Some of the houses are not looking very good on the outside. Cups, beer cans, etc need to be cleaned up. Greek Night is coming up so come out to support the Hockey team. Buses are leaving from the Smith Parking Lot at 3:30. Thanks for hosting to Rich. 17. Old Business: None 18.
