IFC meeting called to order by Tom Leaman at 8pm. Chapters absent: None (Held at Sig Ep) 1. Special Guest- Dean Remley & Chief Friedberg: Card Access System- one card that will get you into the outside doors of buildings. 48 buildings will be secured beginning in February. Extensive labor work will begin soon, buildings will be informed in advance of their arrival. Chapter Presidents have chosen which doors can be wired. This is a safety decision in order to help monitor who goes in and out of the buildings. 2. Special Guest- Trevor Jaffe and Chris Wilson: Community Service Request- trip to Miami working for a week for Habitat for Humanity. Bringing down cameras to Miami to document. Wants IFC to pay 25 dollars per fraternity member in order to help pay for the expenses. 3. Special Guest- Management 101 Students: T-Shirt sales. 4. Alumni Liaison - Greg Wagner: No report. 5. GAMMA - Penton Mott: Start thinking about non-alcoholic events since sororities are already beginning theirs. 6. GAME - Chen Mao: MCOP showed interest in service projects. Look for more updates. 7. Community Service/Philanthropy - Scott Shapiro: Get the downtown cleanups done on your dates. SAE will bring in a speaker next week about a possible MPP charity. 8. Special Events - Jack Swain: House Party Mug E-Mail. 50 dollar prize to winner. Let brothers know if they have any artistic talent. Get in your reservations for House Party. Serf forms are due the Friday of Spring Break. If you plan on going more than 18 inches deep, you could be fined 35,000 dollars and it is a criminal offense. That also goes on the serf form. 9. Secretary - Chris Petersen: Send your photos in for the website. Panhel will now be completely electronic with their minutes on the website. 10. Recruitment - Arjun Raman: Keep sending in your Meet the Greeks photos. Start planning your March Madness events. Encourage first-years to come. You can host Pay-Per-View fights, etc, to get interest. 11. Treasurer - Jeff Pike: Working on a working budget available on public space in order to allow everyone to see where the money is going. 12. VP-External - Abe Brodach: All Campus Olympics will take place the week right after House Party. Various events such as Olympic style games, volleyball tournament, wing fest, talent show, etc. Fraternity teams and co-ed teams can participate. 13. VP-Internal - Tom Leaman: Constitution Revision Committee will be made in order to review any revisions. Chi Phi, TKE, Lambda, Kappa Sigma, Phi Psi, Kappa Alpha Psi, Theta Chi are interested in joining the committee. 14. President - Joe Valickus (absent): RSVP for the President's Lunch by Friday 2/15. The Teach for America application is due the 15th as well. Clarification of the Case Rule was discussed, as well as the committee that will be put together for the IFC Constitution revisions and final draft. 15. Panhellenic- Mary O’Sullivan: Next meeting will be on Monday, February 18th and they are discussing the prospect of a seventh sorority. 16. Public Safety- Officer Snyder: 17.
