IFC meeting called to order by David Quinn at 8pm. All chapters present except for Lambda Chi Alpha. (Sigma Phi Epsilon) 1. Special Guest - Officer Snyder (Public Safety): All chapters please contact Officer Snyder if you are seeking advice on educational programs to participate in. The Bucknell Department of Public Safety is assisting with the Eastern Union County Food Drive. Seeking non-perishable items. In return for donating one bag of non-perishable items, the Department of Public Safety will annul a campus parking ticket that you have received. 2. Special Guest - Margot Grant: Seeking volunteers who can assist the United Way on April 21. This volunteer time would count for service hours for Plan for Prominence. Notify her if any chapters are interested in volunteering. (E-mail: mgrant@bucknell.edu) 3. Alumni Liaison - Bill Massaro: Introduced the idea of hosting a Greek alumni luncheon that would allow current Greek students to network with Bucknell Greek alumni. Planning on speaking with the Career Development Center and seeking any assistance they can offer. All chapters are encouraged to contact their individual alumni. 4. GAMMA - Adam Hinshaw: Had a meeting with Bob Thomas to discuss possible speakers to present alcohol awareness. Chapters, please remind your students of the Spring Break Survival Kits seminar that discuss alcohol awareness to future spring breakers. 5. GAME - Arjun Raman: Requested e-mails about suggestions for speakers. Seeking feedback for hosting a multicultural barbecue in the spring. Will be including an article in the Multicultural Center newsletter which discusses IFC’s goals and progress. The second annual Posse Plus Retreat will be held this weekend. Departure is Friday, February 9 at 3:45pm in the Smith parking lot, and they will return on Sunday, February 11 at approximately 2pm. 6. Community Service/Philanthropy - Chris Palmer: Will notify which chapters are responsible for the Downtown Cleanup this week. The check has been printed that will be presented to Community Harvest at halftime of the February 14th basketball game from the proceeds of the Million Penny Project. All chapters are encouraged to attend the game and wear your chapter’s Greek letters. As for next year, the Million Penny project is looking into assisting a low-income housing unit in nearby Milton. 7. Special Events - Jay Sliger: Each chapter must collect the names of 6 respective members who can serve as monitors during House Party. These names are due by the next IFC meeting. Also, all Chapter Presidents are asked to prepare a list of their House Party weekend dates as far as hosted parties are concerned. 8. Secretary - Tommy Murray: Continuing to update the webpage. 9. Recruitment - Bill Groen: Looking for feedback and further suggestions on how the Super Bowl recruitment night went. Feedback was strong from all chapters. 10. Treasurer - Mike Simione: Recently attended the Treasurers’ Workshop and spoke with the Bucknell Student Government about receiving appropriations for House Party weekend. 11. VP-External - Steve Horsefield: Alpha To Omega articles are due March 2. Each Chapter President is required to hand in an article to be submitted. 12. VP-Internal - Nick Panaro: Presidents, please make your chapters aware of the jobs of GMT's during nights of registered parties. All IFC members are encouraged to pick up GMT t-shirts in LC 217. The following chapters are required to meet before COGL next week and receive their mid-semester evaluations: Kappa Delta Rho, Delta Upsilon, and Sammy. Registered parties this Friday are: Chi Phi, Sigma Chi. Registered parties this Saturday are: Kappa Delta Rho, and Sammy. 13. President - David Quinn: The Greek Awards will be held on February 13 at 8pm in the Vaughn Lit auditorium. A letter was anonymously posted in the LC which addressed fraternity men in an ill nature. The women’s center removed the flyers and IFC plans on working with the center to address the issue. Next meeting will be Tuesday, February 20, at Sigma Chi. 14. Greek Advisor - Dean Marrara: Reminded all chapters to sign up for the Got Skills campaign. Housing lists weren’t properly completed. A reminder that no Greek juniors or seniors have received permission yet to live downtown. Some chapters are still missing academic programs for this year. Please attend the Greek Awards next Tuesday, February 13 at 8pm in Vaughn Lit. Chapter Presidents please pay attention to e-mails that mention educational programs. Kappa Alpha Theta will be performing a dance at the Million Penny project check presentation Wednesday, February 15 at halftime of the Men’s basketball game. Special thank you to Chi Phi for the invitation to visit and provide an information session. 15. Panhellenic (President) - Stacey Swift: Panhellenic’s GAME position has encouraged all chapters to attend their diversity event on Tuesday, March 27. 16. Announcements:
