IFC meeting called to order by David Quinn at 8pm. Chapters not present: Kappa Sigma, Phi Gamma Delta. (Phi Psi) 1. Alumni Liaison - Bill Massaro: The alumni calling session was very successful. Forms are due Wednesday, October 10 by noon. The alumni luncheon is Sunday, October 21. Shirt, tie, and nice shoes are required. 2. GAMMA - Adam Hinshaw: Alcohol Week is October 22-26. Wayne Bromfield will be speaking on October 23 and discussing the legal aspect of alcohol violations. All chapter presidents and risk managers are encouraged to attend. 3. GAME - Arjun Raman: Good showing at the "Stop the Hate" rally. Exploring the concept of having multicultural discussions every other week. 4. Community Service/Philanthropy - Chris Palmer: The Greek Iron Chef Contest will be held on Sunday, Nov. 11 at Lambda. Chapters must buy tickets for all members. All contributions will go towards the Million Penny Project and will count as philanthropy money. 5. Special Events - Jay Sliger: None. 6. Secretary - Tommy Murray: None. 7. Recruitment - Bill Groen: Seeked further feedback on the rush process. Feedback included adding a FAQ form in recruitment packets, and lengthening the amount of available visiting each of the 3 nights. 8. Treasurer - Mike Simione: Dues are due next week, and that includes those going abroad. 9. VP-External - Steve Horsefield: Alpha-To-Omega should be out by the end of this week. 10. VP-Internal - Nick Panaro: All chapters should encourage their members to consider running for an IFC position for next year. Elections will be held in early Novemeber. Friday: Chi Phi Saturday: SAE, Lambda, Phi Psi, TKE 11. Guest - Reanna Trunk: Students are encouraged to participate in Teach for America. All are encouraged to check out their website and email Reanna with any questions. 12. Guest - Danny Mun: 1&4 is offering free presentations to fraternities on Sexual Assault, approximately 30 minutes long. 13. Guest - Office of External Relations: Encouraging as many Bucknell students to vote on Novermber 6. Chapter presidents are encouraged to bring the forms to their chapters to have their members register. 14. Guest - Bill Frake(VP of ACE): For Midnight Mania, the Orange and Blue game will be run differently. Students will have the opportunity to earn a spot as coaches for one of the teams. Student coaches will attend one practice before the game. The goal is to increase the visibility of the game. 15. President - David Quinn: Next week chapter will include dinner with guests Cheif Friedburg and Dean Hopp. Dinner will be at 6pm and the IFC meeting will follow at 7pm. 16. Greek Advisor - Dean Marrara: All IFC members and chapter presidents are encouraged to visit with Dean Marrara. "Meet The Greeks" will be held Thursday, March 24 in the Weis Center with guest speaker Rick Barnes. Check out for changes on the Important Dates list. Officer Ulmer will be doing occupany assessments this week starting tomorrow. All chapters are encouraged to review the hazing agreement as there have been allegations of hazing. New Business: Kappa Alpha Psi: Requesting money funding from IFC to be put towards their hosting of a comedian during Homecoming Weekend.
