General Council Meeting Minutes

• Meeting was called to order at 5:30

  • Donate anything that you no longer want
  • Boxes on each suite; print signs and spread the word

  • Unanimously passed (5/5 - missing Alpha Chi’s vote)

  • end of semester dinner was nice; thanks for attending
  • lots of improvements were made and plans for next semester
  • any suggestions/ideas for next semester? Email Mary over the summer
  • Discussion on Compiled Recruitment Guidelines
  • When can chapters require members to return to campus next fall?
  • Date set by University when all students are allowed to return is the earliest that members can be required to return to campus
  • What are the restrictions as far as RA’s voting on PNM’s?
  • Will clarify with Dean Marrara.
  • Clarify the rule about buying gifts for PNM’s (#6)
  • If complaint is filed, it will be reviewed according to judicial procedures (guideline cannot be stated more clearly)
  • Can advisors who are not alumnae participate in Recruitment? (#24)

  • replacement IFC secretary who is Tech savvy will re-vamp website!
  • Ashley Hamill: Community Service/ Philanthropy
  • Hand-Up Foundation
  • Collecting just about anything including clothes, shoes, magazines, pillows (any dorm item you no longer want)
  • Taking Place now through May 7th
  • Every Suite should have signs and a donation box
  • Send email, hang signs, spread the word!
