General Council Meeting Minutes
April 21 , 2008

• Meeting was called to order at 5:30

  • Sunday April 27, 5pm at Shantee (attached to Town Tavern)
  • All IFC and Panhel Exec members and Presidents invited
  • Let Mary know if you cannot attend
  • Thanks for a great Open Suites; fill out comment form if any issues
  • Chrysalis Tickets for Presidents; pick up from Greek Office ASAP (thanks IFC)
  • Next Semester’s General Panhellenic Council Meetings: Mondays @ 5:45

  • Faculty Relations Event: Wednesday, April 23 from 11-1pm in Walls
  • Invite professors and find replacement if you cannot attend
  • Erin Wolfe: Recruitment
  • Recruitment Guidelines
  • All compiled into one document  (except dirty recruitment guidelines)
  • Both will be sent electronically to chapter presidents and recruitment chairs
  • Vote on compiled guidelines at next general council meeting
  • Note that NPC recommends $1000 fine per recruitment violation
  • Public Safety will be more involved with Recruitment in Fall (to prevent water balloon mishaps and such)
  • Verbally reviewed limited contact and discretionary period guidelines (in response to a question from the floor)

  • April 25 @ 5pm: Cover Parking meters (about 1 hour)
  • April 26 @ 8am-5pm: help set-up, work booth, or clean-up

  • Participated in Downtown Thaw-Out, Day of Caring, and Relay for Life
