General Council Meeting Minutes
March 3, 2008

• Meeting was called to order at 5:30

  • Saturday afternoon, March 29th (during House Party)
  • Presented anticipated budget for event
  • Would like Panhel and IFC to cover food costs ($500 each)
  • President  Reports: Mary O’Sullivan
  • Vote on previous minutes
  • Unanimously passed
  • Vote on Co-sponsoring Theta Chi non-alcoholic event at March 17th meeting
  • Presidents Lunch on Thursday 3/6  at noon in LC240cd
  • Recently many wristband violations; encourage your chapters to be responsible and wear a wristband if over 21; fraternities are violating  risk management policies because women are not cooperating

  • Last Recruitment meeting before Open Suites is Tuesday, April 1st at 7:30pm ; Presidents are welcome to attend

  • Chapter met with Officer Snyder; answered questions about key cards and arming public safety
  • Held “Fun Fest” last weekend; great turn-out from faculty and families

  • Successful Spring recruitment workshop last Saturday
  • “Mocktails” non-alc on Saturday was well attended

  • Organizing teams for Anchor Splash and PowderPuff—get ready!
  • LGBT presentation at chapter tomorrow

  • Celebrated Dr. Suess Birthday at 2 local libraries; face painting, coloring, and speed reading competition
  • Leadership Development Consultant, Melissa Murray, visiting this week

  • Next Meeting: Tuesday, Mar 4 @ Phi Kappa Psi, 8:00pm (everyone invited)
