Anchor Splash

On Thursday, April 10, six brothers, including Adam Hinshaw, John Whitten, Garrett Wasp, Conor Cross, Brendan O’Neil, and Dan Ostrofsky, participated in a Delta Gamma-sponsored event called Anchor Splash. This modified swim meet consisted of four events. The first of these events was a four person relay in which the swimmers had to each swim the length of the pool while wearing a sweatshirt. The Chi Phi team took third place in this exhausting event. In the second event, team members had to race across the pool while pulling their Delta Gamma coach in a tube. The team placed sixth in this event. In the third event, the biggest splash contest, Dan Ostrofsky took second place by impressing the crowd with a double front flip. The highlight of the evening was in the synchronized swimming contest. With a well-prepared routine to the song “Splish Splash,” Chi Phi wowed the crowd and placed first. As a result of the team’s success in all of the events, Chi Phi won Anchor Splash! Not only did the members of the fraternity earn pride from victory, they also enjoyed the camaraderie of the event. By paying an entrance fee for Anchor Splash, Chi Phi supported the Pennsylvania Association for the Blind
