ΦΛΘ Gets a Home

Our First House

During the summer, through the special influence of a brother, the group purchased a fraternity house at Market and Seventh Streets in Lewisburg. Financial aid was provided through fathers and several brothers.

Shortly after the 1924 school term began, the new group held an open house, the first of many successful social events. In February pledges held a dance to honor the actives; it proved to be the largest and most successful staged by any fraternity that year.

In March 1925, after considerable discussion, the group petitioned the American Association of Commons Clubs for membership. The petition was accepted and the group was installed in to the American Association of Commons Clubs in April 1925. It was a big step forward in club prestige.
