Chess Club Info

Mission Statement:

The purpose of the Bucknell Chess Club is to provide and support chess-related recreational opportunities for the Bucknell community through meetings, study breaks, social gatherings, and tournaments. It will also represent Bucknell University’s intellectual excellence to the best of our ability in competition both intra-Bucknell tournaments and tournaments at affiliated schools. The Chess Club also wants to extend its support by offering tutoring to the Bucknell community and meetings open to Lewisburg residents, both young and old.

Our Purpose:

To work towards the ultamite goal: a national college chess title.
To provide chess-related recreational activities for the Bucknell community.
To provide a comfortable medium where people can relax and socialize.
To allow members to participate in intermural and intramural chess tournaments.
To plan and organize chess-related events on and off-campus.

Who?

All members of the Bucknell community welcome to come and play!
No experience or equipment necessary!

When?

Every week the University is in session.
Meetings begin Monday and Thursday at 5:30 pm.

The Niche - located on the side of the 7th Street Cafe (pictured)
