I. Purpose of system
A. The point system shall be used to determine who can room in the house and in what order rooms are chosen.
II. Point system format
A. Points are awarded on a semesterly basis.
B. Elected officials receive the following points:
1. President 6
2. Vice President of Activities 5
3. Vice President of Administration 5
4. Treasurer 4
5. Secretary 4
6. Public Relations 4
7. Publicity 4
8. Activity Support Staff 3
9. Webmaster 2
C. Any unofficial positions that feel they deserve points for work above and beyond a formal member may request an additional point at the executive meeting.  Note:  this must be done within a semester from which the work is done.
D. The executive committee is allowed to give an additional membership point to people who have substantially aided the group but hold no elected office.  There may only be one person missing from the executive committee for this vote to occur, otherwise it is postponed.  A two-thirds (2/3) majority vote is needed to pass.  The Vice President of Administration then notifies the recipient.
E. Any formal member receives one point:  this point is included in the officers' points.
F. Points may only be received for one position per semester, with the exception of webmaster.
G. At the time of room picks, points to be earned during the current semester will be taken into consideration.
H. In the case of a tie in points, the order of room picks will be determined by the following:
1. Grade: Senior, Junior, Sophomore, First year
2. Length of membership
3. Coin flip
