                             About Our Section

The Bucknell ASME has been on campus for many decades. ASME sponsors meetings, field trips, social gatherings or other activities that provide a benefit to members or the surrounding Bucknell community.

To be successful, it takes more than just technical know how. As a professional organization, we provide engineers with opportunities to explore issues that are not usually covered in class such as ethics, management, or industrial applications of mechanical engineering.

For non-technical majors, ASME provides a doorway into how engineering affects the daily operations of society. This will be of great value to those who will work with or for engineers. For the Bucknell student, ASME provides a great opportunity to expand your educational experience. It is our hope that you will participate in the worthwhile organization.

VISION

To be the premier organization on campus for promoting the arts and sciences through the practice of mechanical engineering.

MISSION

To promote and enhance the technical competency and professional well-being of all our members through quality programs and activities, related to mechanical engineering, better enabling its practitioners to benefit society
