Bonding
Alpha Chi Omega takes part in many interesting educational programs here at Bucknell; these past semesters include: A Boy, A Girl, A Virus; Safe Space; visits from Public Safety to promote personal wellbeing; and Kristen’s Story. In addition, sisterhood bonding is an important part of being a member of Alpha Chi. Our sisters bond on weekends, at ice cream socials, during sorority-wide games such as Blitz!, Alpha Chi caf night, retreats at Cowan, and weekly chapters.
Networking
Academics
Alpha Chi Omega places a great emphasis on the importance of education. Last semester, our chapter’s average GPA was a 3.61.
The varied majors within our sorority demonstrates the sisters of Alpha Chi Omega’s diverse interests. Alpha Chi's have chosen to study Environmental Studies, Philosophy, Political Science, Economics, International Relations, Spanish, Biomedical Engineering, Business Management, Classics, Animal Behavior, Biology, French, Civil Engineering, Biology, Creative Writing, Italian, Elementary Education, Women’s and Gender Studies, Psychology, Neuroscience, Computer Sciences, Mathematics, Studio Art, English, Biochemistry, Accounting, and German.
Activities
Members of Alpha Chi Omega participate in many activities outside of the sorority. There are girls involved in the Bucknell fashion magazine, Culture Couture, Dance Club, Model UN, Jelani, and more. Many sisters are also involved in club and varsity sports such as swimming & diving, soccer, lacrosse, water polo, track & field, cross-country, volleyball, and tennis.
