Engineers Week

National Engineers Week is a celebration of engineering at colleges and universities around the world. At Bucknell, students participate in Engineers Week by holding a competition in which all of the engineering departments compete to win the coveted Golden Hammer. At the end of the week, the college holds a dinner for students, faculty, staff, and alumni.

Engineers Week is held the week of George Washington's birthday, since he is known as America's first engineer.
