Blurb about Project
Alpha Phi Omega is the official coordinator of the American Red Cross's Blood Drives on campus.   Brothers assist Red Cross workers in getting the word out, checking in donors, and in other ways assisting the overall process.   Two drives are held each semester and are day-long events.
The blood drive on September 23rd, 2004, was a terrific success! We collected 163 units of blood from 218 potential donors. A wonderful 54 of these donors gave for their first time! After the blood is processed into red blood cells, platelets and plasma, the blood collected can help nearly 490 area patients to regain or maintain their health.
